The Friends of New Forest Village are delighted to announce our next event will be a Family Fun Day from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday, 21 July on the Playing Fields next to Sharp Lane Primary School.

We will have competitions, stalls, demonstrations and more! Please make a note of this date in your diary and read on for further details.

We need you!

Like all good events, we would like a bit of help! If you would like to volunteer to help organise the event in advance, or help out on the day, Please get in touch using the details below, or keep an eye on our website and Facebook page for future meetings.

Donations wanted...

If you have any items which you would be happy to donate for the tombola, please get in touch. Again, keep an eye on our website and Facebook page to find out where and when you can donate.

Stallholders

If you would like to have a stall on the day - £18 and a tombola prize for a 3m square pitch - please contact margaret@readyplanted.com

Order of events...

All events will take place in the main arena:


           2 pm            Hannah Zumba
                               Opening our day in style with high energy

2.15 pm - 2.45 pm    Police dogs display
                                See these fantastic animals at work

2.50 pm - 3.10 pm    Best family pram float
                                Dress up your pram (baby included!) to make an amazing float. Prizes for best float on the day

3.15 pm - 4 pm    Family sports day!
                               Try your luck at:
                                - egg and spoon;
                                - wheelbarrow race;
                                - skipping;
                                - 3 legged race; and
                                - family ball dribbling
           4 pm         Dog show
                            Brought to you by Wakefield Pet Care. Categories include:
                            - most handsome dog;
                            - prettiest bitch;
                            - most appealing eyes;
                            - waggiest tail;
                            - best puppy (under 6 months old); and
                            - dog the judges would most like to take home
                            £1 per entry per category. Register at the Wakefield Pet Care stall from 2 pm

Something for the kids...

Kids can:

·         meet the police

·         meet the fire brigade

·         ride a donkey

·         have a go on the bouncy castle

·         get a glitter tattoo

·         have their face painted

Please note that children under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by a responsible adult

Other attractions...

There are several stalls, including local businesses, and a tombola in aid of the Friends of New Forest Village, along with an ice cream van, hot dogs and burgers, plus much more.
